How to Organise Your Wardrobe

Having trouble with storage? Perhaps you’ve got too much going on behind your wardrobe doors. Don’t worry, Sliding Robes Direct are here to help. Here we have 5 of the best hints, tricks and tips on how to organise your wardrobe. We hope that this helps with not only with organising, but improving the amount of space you work with too. So here it goes...

1. Colour Co-Ordinate

Try to colour co-ordinate your clothing as this will help with both organising and finding your clothes. For example, if you’re looking for a red top to go with your jeans, you know that you have a selection of red tops located at the right of your wardrobe. So everything becomes much easier and arranged. You will find that this helps with organising your wardrobe too as when everything is arranged by colour, you will know exactly where everything is.

2. Bring Your Most-Used Items to The Front

By bringing clothing which you regularly used to the front will not only save you time whilst getting ready, but it allows you to manage your wardrobe successfully too. This can then be rotated for Winter or Summer periods but will allow you to keep your most favourite or most used clothes in easy storage.

3. Fold Where You Can

Folding will not only give you more space for your clothing, but keep things more organised too. So jumpers and cardigans can be folded and stored away until they’re needed. This will not only save space, but is brilliant for organising. Tops, jumpers, shorts etc. can all be folded and stored in drawers or shelves in your wardrobe, allowing you to organise your wardrobe effectively.

4. Combined Hangers

Using hangers that can hold multiple items are perfect for saving space. Not only that, it makes your wardrobe a lot more organised and tidy when everything is arranged. So if like many of us you own too many clothes, having hangers which hold several items is a brilliant invention for you!

5. Have a Clear Out

You’re only wasting space if you think that you’re going to wear your purple knitted jumper that you bought back in 2008. The only thing this is doing is taking up valuable space. The best way to stay on top of your clothing is to think ‘if I haven’t wore it within the space of 12 months, it’s going’ then bag it up and send it to a charity shop to be loved again. That purple jumper could be loved by someone else. This way, you can make room for all your lovely new clothes and stay up to date with the latest trends. Perfect!
